Supplier order templates
Choose the columns and layout of the order form each supplier receives.
You may not need one
When a customer accepts a quote, SmartMQ creates the order and can export an Excel order form for each supplier. If you have no templates, a built-in layout with the usual columns (room, window, product, fabric, sizes, mount, control side) is used, so you can order straight away.
Add your suppliers
Go to Admin › Suppliers and add each supplier with their contact email. On each product’s Suppliers tab, choose who makes it, so every order line goes to the right supplier.
Pick your columns
Go to Admin › Templates and click New template, then Column configurator. Download the sample configurator, set the Enabled column to Yes or No for each field, reorder columns and rename headers to match what your supplier expects. Save it as .xlsx and upload it.
Or use your supplier’s own form
If a supplier sends you their own order sheet, choose Custom layout. Mark the data row of their sheet with measurement variables, save it as .xlsx and upload it. SmartMQ fills one row per window in their layout.
Assign templates to products
Each template can apply to all product types or only some (for example one for roller blinds and another for curtains). Use Set as default for the template most orders should use.
Export an order
Open the order in Admin › Orders and click Order Sheet, then choose Excel or PDF. Check the first export before sending it to a new supplier to be sure every column they need is filled in.
